Book 8

Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing

I just finished Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume and it explained how Peter didn't like his Fudge because he would get all the attention and everyone thought he was amazing but if they wanted Fudge to do something Peter would have to be a role model like at Fudge’s birthday party the mom wanted the kids to dance and Peter had to start dancing and then all the kids started to dance.Also, when Fudge wouldn't eat Peter had to stand on his head so Fudge will laugh and the parents can shove food in his mouth. Peter wanted for his brother to be replaced with a dog,but Peter’s parents loves Fudge so much and would never give him away. So Peter tries to trick his parents to get him a dog, but they never even took it into consideration.  At the end of the book, Fudge ate Peter’s turtle and they had to go to the emergency room to get the turtle out and when the turtle got out they came home with a bunch of presents and Fudge was so excited. The next day, the parents brought a huge present home and Peter was furious but the parents told him he was great too and they got him a new dog.

Captain Underpants and the Preposterous Plight of the Purple Potty People

I just finished reading Captain Underpants and the Preposterous Plight of the Purple Potty People and it tells how George and Harold are time traveling in a Purple Potty and they landed in her school but all the teachers all nice and the cafeteria severs the best food and Mr Krupp actually thinks they're funny. Then, their pet pterodactyl and hamster get stolen by their evil twins look alikes. George and Harold wants Captain Underpants to save them but it starts to rain and when it rains Captain Underpants gets mad and turn into evil Mr Krupp so there grandparents turn into superheroes and save the day. At the end of the book George and Harold send their evil twins back to the dimension and their grandparents turn back to regular humans.

Book 6

Captain Underpants and the Wrath of the Wicked Wedgie

I just finished reading Captain Underpants and the Wrath of the  Wicked Wedgie Woman and it tells about George and Harold hypnotize their thacher to be the best teacher ever but if you hypnotize someone they do the opposite of what you want them to do so she took over the world and became a monster but she was smart, fast and super evil and she creates two robots that look just like George and Harold and she Programmed them to help her destroy the world. George wants Captain Underpants to save them but Captain Underpants wasn't her to save them. So George and Harold had to hypnotize her to stop taking over the world and bring cookies for the everyday. At the end of the book, Ms. Ribble was the best teacher and brought them cookie every day.

Book 5

Big Nate Welcome to My World

I just finished reading Big Nate Welcome to My World by Lincoln Peirce and it explains how Nate hates school.  His biggest problem is Mrs.Godfrey. Nate wants Mrs.Godfrey to like him, but she always gets mad at him because he always turns in his homework in a sloppy condition and ripped up like he has a pet tiger.  One day, he completed his homework very neatly and when he was going to turn it in, he lost it. He tries to convince Mrs. Godfrey to believe that he did his homework, but there was no hope. He had to stay in for recess and do his homework again. At the end of the book, Mrs.Godfrey is still strict about homework and Nate just kept letting his homework get ripped up and disorganised.

Book 4

Big Nate Welcome to my world

I just finished Big Nate Welcome to My World by Lincoln Peirce and it explained how Nate hated Gina. Nate always is mad at Gina because she is a teacher pet and always gets an A and braggs in Nate's opinion. Nate wanted for Gina to fail 6th grade so he doesn't have to deal with her but the teachers like her and think she is so smart. Gina always get good grades so Nate tried to get her in trouble but he would just get sent to the office. At the end of the book Nate fails to get Gina held back so he has to deal with her for the rest of the year.

Book 3

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

I just finished reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney and it explains how Gregory went to middle school with his friend Rowley and on the basketball court there is a cheese that has been there for a long  time. The kids at school think the cheese gives you the “cheese touch” was close to Halloween and on Halloween. There was teenageers chasing them so they ran into her grandma’s house and the teenagers went away.

Also, they wanted to make some money so they started a haunted house for 50 cents but only little kids came and it was apparently too scary because in the house of screams a little kid named Shane curled up into a ball and decided not to budge when Rowley’s dad heard screams he wasn't pleased. After school, the bell rang the teenagers were waiting for them on the basketball court and the cheese was still there but the teenagers didn't want Rowley to touch it they wanted him to eat it. At the end Rowley ended up eating the cheese but I predict he will get revenge.

Book 2

Sisters

I just finished reading Sisters by Raina Telgemeier and the book explained how the two sisters had to drive from San Francisco to Colorado Springs.  Before the drive, Raina lost her snake in the car and they never found it so it's still in there.  They are now scared to be in the car with the snake loose, but what they are really scared of is that their parents will split up. Raina just wants their parents to stay together and be happy, but she couldn't convince them to do either. She tried to make them all drive in the car together, but her parents thought it would be better to have some time alone. At the end of the book, they all come home and the parents end up staying together.  I really appreciate the book because it has really nice illustrations and I live in Colorado, so I made a lot of connections to the story.

Book 1

Ghosts

I just finished reading Ghosts by Raina Telgemeier and it described how Maya had problems with her breathing and they had to move to Bahía de la luna because it's by the ocean and this helps Maya breathe.  When Maya and Catrina were exploring the town, they went to an arcade and met a boy named Carlos. Carlos took them to the top of a hill and the ghosts got too excited and accidentally dropped Maya and she had to go to the hospital to get her breathing medicine. Maya always wanted to be like the other kids but the problem is that she doesn't know if her breathing problems are permanent, so she would do everything the doctor told her to do but she never got better. At the end of the book, they bring Carlos’s uncle who is only eight years old and is a ghost. Finally, they bring Jose to their house and he and Maya start chatting like crazy.
