I just finished reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Long Haul by Jeff Kinney
and it explained how Gergs Mom thought it would be fun to go on a road
trip but after the trip she had other thoughts. Greg wants to just stay
home and play video games but his mom insists to go on the road trip.
So Greg tried to just go with the flow because he can't change his mom's
mind however he probably should have tried to stop her because the trip
was a disaster. At the end of the book they are home and happy to be
home.
